Power To Choose Book DO YOU FEEL POWERLESS?
IS YOUR LIFE UNMANAGEABLE?

We all need a power greater than ourselves by which we can successfully live our lives.

Power to Choose is a Christ-centered Twelve Step workbook that will show you how to gain power to make life-changing choices over life-controlling problems.

The problem may be alcohol, drug addiction, food addiction, sex addition, co-dependency, the inability to successfully handle relationships-whatever. This book addresses the problems behind those problems-such as issues of rejection, abuse, abandonment, guilt, and shame.

Mike O'Neil's insightful writings provide incentive and inspiration as he explains the Twelve Steps, slightly adapted from those of Alcoholics Anonymous.

He combines the collective wisdom of Alcoholics Anonymous with the reality of Jesus Christ as the power who has the power in bringing you this street savvy, often humorous workbook. It is like having your personal mentor to help you gain peace with God, peace with self, and peace with others.

The Action pages provide questions and instructions which lead the individual through the Twelve Step process. This process is even more effective when used in a small support group following the guidelines in this book.

It has been said that Power to Choose is more than a book, it is an "event". And that has been the experience of most who have used this book. Even those who feel free of addictions will find that the Twelve Step process is a remarkable tool for deepening their relationship with God.

"Having used Power to Choose in a small group study, I can tell you lives were changed. Mike's thought-provoking, some times hard-hitting, but always Spirit sensitive presentation of the Twelve Steps cuts through denial like nothing else I have seen. What a healing tool!"

Boundary Power Book MISTREATED? ABUSED?
Then, take charge of your life, strengthen your character, expand your freedom, improve your marriage and other personal relationships by learning how to set healthy boundaries in your life.

Boundaries define who we are in relationship to others. Some people have unhealthy boundaries. Some have boundaries that change all the time. Others have no boundaries at all.

Without clear and healthy boundaries, we will have adopted a false self. Consequently, we will end up in false relationships. We will allow others to violate us, we will violate others, and we will violate ourselves.

Learn what healthy boundaries are. Receive healing from past abuses. Close the door to future abuses. You can open a whole new way of successfully dealing with life's challenges by answering the questions and acting on the information that you learn in each chapter of Boundary Power.

Boundary Power defines boundaries as they relate to you relationally, spiritually, emotionally, physically, and sexually. Every chapter in Boundary Power asks the kinds of questions that not only help you identify boundary issues in your life, but guide you in establishing new and healthier ones. The workbook is a progression of studies and exercises that culminate in a powerful chapter, enabling one to resolve the grief resulting from the losses suffered by abuse in relationships. A growth book for everyone.

Come to know yourself better and begin to set healthy boundaries. You can achieve balance in all your relationships.

The Church as a Healing Community Book WHEN THE HURTING COME,
WILL YOUR CHURCH BE READY?

Hurt people have already come. Up to 8O% of the people in most churches come from dysfunctional, non-nurturing families. The church, above all, is to be a healing community to one another.

The Church as a Healing Community is designed to help the local church set up a network of small support groups whereby nurtured people can nurture people.

This book was borne out of the need to implement small support groups using the Power to Choose book. It gives detailed information and instructions for putting a self-perpetuating system in the local church, and it is helpful for any Twelve Step ministry.

Section 1 of the book is educational. It addresses subjects such as dysfunctional families, addictions, relapse, co-dependency, enabling behaviors, and adult children of dysfunction.

Sections 2 and 3 describe small support groups, facilitation of groups, the Twelve Steps, and a general overview of the "Power Life" system for small support groups.

Section 4 details the steps necessary to put the system in place including suggested meeting formats.

The Addictions Sculpt and The Family Sculpt presentations are found in the appendices.

The Addictions Sculpt is effective in educating audiences to the need for a small support group ministry and in helping the individual become aware of his or her own need. It visually portrays three messages: that people are addicted to many more things than just drugs and alcohol, that there are deeper issues that lead to addictions, and that addictions interfere with our ability to deal with those root causes.

The Family Sculpt portrays a dysfunctional family, showing how it operates and the typical survival roles that its members develop. This dramatization is a powerful format for raising the awareness of recovery issues.

The appendices also include additional resources for use in implementing the Power Life system, such as a planning table, publicity ideas, and announcements.

Set up shop to provide nurturing support while using two practical healing tools: Power to Choose and Boundary Power.
